Jamaica is irie mon!

Updated: Apr 14

It’s time for Jamaica and the rhythm of one love! This Caribbean country is well known for its Jamaican Jerk Seasoning, Blue Mountain Coffee, Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum . . . . When the jerk flavors burst in your mouth be sure be sure to have coconut water or a ginger beer to seal the taste.

The reggae beat, jerk over the fire and rum punch! Wow, I remember my first visit. Greeted at the airport with a glass of rum punch that knocked off the drowsiness and got my rhythm in check.

If you are going might I suggest all-inclusive! Before you go preview the Jamaica events and festivals.

This blog focus is on the four most popular cities, culture, activities, and the people of Jamaica. Before we explore the cities stop by Scotchies for a bite to eat. You will not be disappointed. The yummy dishes say it all, irie mon!

Kingston, the capital and home to the late Bob Marley. A very vibrant nightlife, music, art galleries, dining, golfing, beaches, and one of the Cool Runnings film sites.

Montego Bay. Ease on down the road to a tropical paradise. Hire a car for a private tour and see MoBay at your own pace. Mobay is a foodie’s paradise. Try the Pork Pit, tasty cuisine and a freshly hacked coconut. Clubs, pubs, eateries, beaches, nightlife, and golfing. Dr. Cave is the most famous beach -- snorkeling and scuba diving.

Negril. Relaxation paradise is waiting, a 7-mile white sandy beach, beautiful sunsets, and fresh seafood caught daily. Don’t miss out on the restaurants, beach bars, parties that last all night long, glass-bottom boats, snorkeling, and sunset cruises. This is a spectacular locale for romantic getaways, destination weddings and honey-moons. The beach was rated one of the top 10 beaches in the world.

Ocho Rios. Wowed as one of the most popular destinations in Jamaica. Sunning scenery, beaches, attractions, waterfalls, rafting, golfing, world-class resorts, and great shopping. Ochi is the site of the first James Bond Movie, Dr No . . things to do.

  • Dunn’s River Falls. One of Jamaica's national treasures.

  • Scotchies Jerk Centre. Yes, there's more than one site for your taste buds.

Where to Stay. Each locale has a variety of all-inclusive resorts, boutique hotels, guesthouses, villas, and adults-only hotels suitable for groups, families, honeymoon, anniversary, reunion, retreat, getaways, etc:
